MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND... What to do in NYC

So for those of us who weren't lucky enough to go to Myrtle Beach or the Hamptons, fear not, there's plenty to do in the city (NYC).

  • Free Today Show and Good Morning America Concert Monday May 28,2012
                                                    Featured Artist: Bobby Brown
Get there early for good seats, preferably 6am. Show starts at 7am.

  • Fleet Week and Memorial Day on the Intrepid
Concert, a movie premiere, ship tours, demonstrations and much more.
Come out and show your pride in America.

  • Governor's Island Family Festival: Saturday, May 26th
Live music, clowns, games, arts and crafts, food (need I say more)

  • Shop til you drop: Memorial Day Weekend at Woodbury Commons Premium Outlet
Spend a day or the whole weekend.
With stores like Armani and Jimmy Choo who would ever want to leave?

  • Cloisters Family Festival
Enjoy a medieval weekend at the Cloisters Museum (99 Margaret Cobin Drive, New York)
Take part in arts and crafts, go on an art hunt, tour the museum or just sit and take in the beauty of the garden. Theres tons to do here and did I mention that this was one of my FAVORITE MUSEUMS?

  • Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show: Jones Beach Saturday and Sunday 10am - 3pm
It's a bird, it's a plane... Wait a minute, it is a plane. Get your beach chairs and umbrellas (and maybe some earplugs) ready to experience the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and the Canadian Forces. Snowbirds.

Of course theres much more to do in the big city (fireworks, clubs, restaurants, etc) but why do the ordinary when you could make this a Memorial Day to remember.

Now go and have an AWESOME Memorial Day Weekend
