Who Lies About Having Cancer?!?!

Bride Lied About Terminal Cancer To Score Dream Wedding: Officials

You lie about being sick to get out of going to work or school, but what would possess someone to lie about having cancer? Well just ask 25-year-old Jessica Vega from New York.
I just don't understand how she was able to convince not only her community members, but CLOSE family, friends and even her FIANCE that she was dying of acute myeloid leukemia. As her dying wish she wanted to marry her child's father. This sounds like the perfect love story right? Lady marries the man of her dream, then dies peacefully in his arms as doves are released and trumpets play softly in the background. WRONG! Clearly she didn't think this out. IDIOT what were you going to tell people years later when your magically STILL LIVE: "It's a Miracle!"
I will give her credit, she was smart and knew how to play the system. Who would've thought that lying about an illness would provoke an entire community to pay for your WHOLE wedding. Only one problem, when people are dying of an illness, they usually DIE!
Maybe if she let her husband in on her scam she would've gotten away with it. I mean really, how long were Vega and O'Connor dating and when did she suddenly come down with this mysterious case of cancer? Let's all give a round of applause to her husband, Michael O'Connor, for being the "wise" (and I use this term loosely) New Yorker he is and calling the doctors office only to find out she wasn't a patient there. You would've thought the town locals would've done the same, but shame on New Yorkers for having a heart and actually giving a damn about a dying lady.
So you mean to tell me no one in the town thought it was strange that a lady who has cancer, terminally ill, showed no signs of dying? She had a FULL head of hair, no skin or nail discoloration or any treatment effects of chemotherapy.
Although she is being charged with five counts of grand larceny and one count of scheme to defraud, I don't think she should go to jail though. That would be to light of a sentence for her. Instead all of the REAL cancer survivors, family members and the people going through it should gather together and stone her ass, then make her go through chemotherapy and volunteer for Susan G. Komen.
I mean, that's the least she could do.

- Being SQUARE isn't so bad!
